About Trev's tree
This is my latest effort at setting up a website for my ever expanding family tree.
The smaller version set up last year is http://trevs10k.tribalpages.com and the
password is the same as for this site.
I started this project 2 years ago at my wife's request to trace her family and its
roots. I have managed to trace her relations back to 1698 in Essex and from there to
Tasmania and other places. My own family don't seem to have been so adventurous and I
have only managed to follow them back to Bristol in the 1820's. I have followed up
leads given to me by literally hundreds of contacts over the last 2 years, hence the
expansion to 25,000 names. I'm still working my way through a document that runs to
420 pages on one part of the tree so I can't stop yet.
My thanks still go to Maureen Martin and Mike Levon for their help and guidance when
I started out in 2006 and also to UnCloseted Skeletons who have given me a lot of
help when it comes to tracing ancestors in Australia.
I am in touch with cousins I haven't seen for 40 years since starting this project,
and I do mean first cousins, not to mention some of their offspring who are also
engaged in research of the family kind.
To anyone who bothers to read this and make use of the site, thanks for having a
browse, I hope it was useful and if you have any comments, good or bad, please take a
moment to add your thoughts to the Guest book on your way out.
Regards.
